One of the world’s most eminent experts on Infection Control and Epidemiology explains why “effective disinfection requires not only an effective product but also, effective practice”
Big Red’s technical views on the limitations of conventional disinfection products and procedures have, once again, been validated by a world-renowned independent expert!
Recently, Big Red went on the public record stating that there are actually two very simple unequivocal reasons why traditional disinfectants that are applied in conventional ways are inherently and completely inadequate to deal with surfaces that have been contaminated with a highly contagious, virulent and lethal virus such as the COVID-19 virus.
The first reason is that many traditional disinfectants when confronted with a virus as contagious and dangerous as COVID-19 are chemically inadequate and not fit for purpose. The second reason traditional disinfectants are ineffective is that the conventional methods employed to apply them actually exacerbates their inherent chemical inadequacies even further.
Big Red’s professional opinion (and practice in the field) has now been substantiated by Prof. William A. Rutala, an internationally renowned expert in the field of disinfection and infection control. He is the Director of the North Carolina Statewide Program for Infection Control and Epidemiology (SPICE) and a Professor at the University of North Carolina, School of Medicine.
